Subject: WINVN with Chameleon
Has anyone gotten WINVN newsreader running with the Chameleon WINSOCK.DLL on a
PPP connection? my few attempts have resulted in a "cascade" of crashing
winsock applets. Is there some trick to which I am not aware? I can't use the
Trumpet WINSOCK as my host requires PPP (plus the Chameleon WINSOCK is paid
for, I'd hate to have to buy another package...I'd rather upgrade to the full
Chameleon)
Thanks in advance

I was thinking of picking up the Windows Internet Tour Guide, or one of the
other 2 books (can't remember their names) which come with the demo Chameleon
package. I saw no mention in the book that the demo version self-destructs in
a few months. I assumed they just tried to entice you to the full package with
more features.
Can you give more particulars on the self-destruct, i.e exact time, what
happens, and what option(s) exist to get a working version at that time?
Thanks!

Subject: odipkt and Novell TCPIP
Hi All
I can run packet driver apps fine over Novell, but when I run Novell
TCPIP (to use Novells winsock), it knocks the packet interface on the
head - nothing gets through!
Is there any way I can run both together ??
Thanks for any info
Jim

There are Winsock IRC clients! Try dorm.rutgers.edu I think that the
directory is pub/irc/clients/windows?
